Dipl. Ing. (FH) Oliver Hanna is a Green Roof Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry. Since 2010, he has been a Technician and Green Roof Consultant at ZinCo GmbH, a global leader in Green Roof solutions.
Oliver began his career with an apprenticeship in Landscape Construction (1998–2000) before earning his degree in Landscape Construction & Management from the University of Applied Science at Weihenstephan, Germany (2000–2005). He received scholarships from the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft and the Erasmus Programme, allowing him to study in New Zealand and the UK. He later worked as a Landscape Architect in London before joining ZinCo.
At ZinCo, Oliver consults on all aspects of Green Roofs, represents the company at global conferences, oversees project execution, and contributes to Research & Development. His expertise has shaped iconic projects such as the High Line (New York), Stavros Niarchos Foundation (Athens), Al Shaheed Park (Kuwait), and King Salman Park (Riyadh).
Since 2018, Oliver has led business development in the Middle East, focusing on sustainable Green Roof solutions to combat climate change and urbanization. His work continues to inspire architects worldwide to integrate innovative green infrastructure into contemporary designs.
