Luis Romahn is the CEO of World Urban Parks, as well as the President and Founder of Parques de México and the Founder of the National Association of Parks and Recreation of Mexico.
For the past 15 years, he has been dedicated to urban park and public space projects in Mexico, implementing comprehensive management models that integrate participatory design, community-driven construction, and financial sustainability. He has also led the organization of the International Urban Parks Congresses in both Mexico and South America.
Luis previously served on the Board of Directors of City Parks Alliance in the United States and is currently a member of the World Parks Academy Council.
In 2021, he was named a Fellow by the Salzburg Seminar’s Emerging Urban Leaders Program and received the Emerging Leaders Award from World Urban Parks.
Over the years, Luis has delivered keynote speeches in more than 15 countries, sharing insights on public spaces and urban parks.
He is the author of “Construyendo Mi Parque – From Citizen Participation to Public Space Management.”
Luis holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in communication and education, both from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
