Lucas is an architect focused on transport and transit-oriented development/public realm. Through his work, Lucas is committed to improving the quality of urban mobility and helping cities become healthy, sustainable and people-oriented places.
Early in his career, Lucas worked on the award-winning World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York and later moved to Shanghai to support the design of numerous transport hubs and adjacent urban development throughout China. During this time, he also played a key role on the Malaysia High Speed project, seeking to improve socioeconomic benefits from planned high speed rail service between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
Lucas moved to London to collaborate with Transport for London’s Crossrail 2 team, providing development recommendations for Wimbledon Station as it prepared to expand and accommodate Crossrail 2 service.
Lucas later joined One Works to lead the design of numerous transportation and masterplanning projects around the world. Lucas works closely with a range of clients - including transport authorities, commercial developers and contractors - to create high quality transportation facilities and public realm, strengthening sustainable urban connectivity and sense of place.
