Steintec has reduced the embodied carbon of its tuffbed 2-pack bedding mortar by almost 30%.
Research with BRE (Building Research Establishment), Steintec were able to further reduce embodied carbon by 28.7% to 167.2 Kg CO2 per tonne.
tuffbed 2-pack’s newly reduced embodied carbon value of 167.2 kg CO2 /tonne compares to a typical value of 220.0 kg CO2 /tonne for other commonly used bedding mortars
