• A take on the 18th century approach. A central axis, often used by many traditional French designers links the bridge between the borrowed landscape and the main house, which is now a hotel. 
• The axis begins with an interpretation of the ha-ha, containing the long walk garden. This leads to the historic and retained bathing pond. Following this and the termination of the vista is the productive vegetable garden and natural valley beyond. The termination of a vegetable garden was quite poignant.  The importance of growing food, especially now in such uncertain times of food security is a powerful yet important statement.
