The I-4 Ultimate construction project rebuilt interstate bridges throughout downtown Orlando. The rebuilt bridges are higher and wider and create new unique spaces below Interstate 4. A site downtown between Church and Washinton Streets, referred to as the Under-I, was awarded by the City of Orlando to MSP as lead design in collaboration with AECOM. For a new urban community park of eight acres, the city envisioned a high-caliber, best-in-nation project to inspire residents and visitors by delivering an engaging, educational, artful, and playful revitalization.
